Show #18 – Summer movies… three by three

It’s May already, and that means it’s time for movies! Movies! MOVIES!!!

Blockbuster summer movies, that is – Tagline’s specialty, our forte if you will. The stakes are high; the budgets are gigantic; the tentpoles are massive. There’s all to play for. Who will win? Who will lose? Who will get fed to the lions? We’ll find out over the next few months as the Hollywood studios duke it out for your hard-earned time and money.

Up first, it’s the biggest three movies of the summer – and they’re all three-time winners. These box office behemoths stand astride the month of May like… three very hyped movies. We’re talking about Spider-Man 3, Shrek the Third and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Are they worth your money? Are they worth their own budgets? And just how much might they make in US domestic gross receipts, anyway?

These questions and more (like, what would Empire Strikes Back have been like if Han Solo had been a creepy stalker?) are asked and answered in this, our greatest podcast yet. (No really. If you’re arriving for the first time, you totally want to download this, dude.)

We’ll be back for much more real soon, including our views on Spidey 3… in the meantime download, listen and enjoy. Drums, please….

Show #5 – Christmas Fare, Stranger Than Fiction and The D

Back again after less than a week! But considering Show #4 took a week and a bit to edit, that isn’t saying too much.

Now sporting a new and improved ‘theme’ – well, alright, a bit of music from a movie soundtrack we hacked into place at the start. Still, we’re getting there….

This time out we talk about the big Christmas movies we’re being forced into getting excited about, Eddie Murphy, The Prestige (again), Stranger Than Fiction plus Tenacious D’s debut flick… are they as good on screen as they are on CD? Download and find out.
