Show #15 - V for Very, Very Vocal

… I’m talking about V for Vendetta, of course, a movie which seems to think that stringing together words that begin with the letter ‘V’ makes for thought provoking dialogue. Don’t get me started! Just download and listen, and hear me go ‘off on one’ on a movie I was sure was going to be… well, you’ll hear.

Apart from that, we’ve got news! Reviews! And me doing a bad impression of Tom Cruise acting as a Nazi in Magnolia!

For the news, there’s more on casting for Indiana Jones and the… that would be telling; plenty of superhero stuff even when Al tells me to shut up about it; the much unneeded prequel to Escape from New York that might happen… and other random bits.

For your discerning moviegoing palate I also nibble on The Illusionist and then spit it right out, plus encourage you all to chow down on The Ice Harvest. With John Cusack. And Billy Bob Thornton. It’s a movie. It so was released in cinemas!

Music is again a clip from the opening title to The Firm by Dave Grusin. It’s light, somehow whimsical, yet funky with an undertone of serious. In other words, it’s all Tagline aspires to be.

Oh, and do tell us if you don’t like the filesize… okay? Bueller? Bueller…?

Show #14 - Overdue reviews

It’s about time we got around to reviewing a few movies, so… here we go with almost wall-to-wall (or end-to-end, if you prefer) reviews of flicks we have seen down the cinema. Erm, and on DVD.

As well as my views on Rocky Balboa - a flick now so old, it’s starting to look like Sly Stallone (Oh, the hilarity) we also talk about Dreamgirls, Hot Fuzz and French action flick / le parkour showcase, District 13 (aka Banlieue 13). Oh, and somewhere in there Al saw Children of Men on DVD.

All this, plus news on 300’s box office success, some talk about Indiana Jones 4 (again) and a brand-new, punchy reviews format devised by that mad genius, my brother Al.

Opening and closing music is a gentle ditty from The Firm by Dave Grusin - me likey. Tried a higher bitrate for this show and I think it sounds a bit better… do let us know if you object to the larger filesize. You know where to find us!
